New Willies, New Website, New City, New Job, New Vendor in Austin
The need and desire for Willies continues and I am fantastically grateful. Commissions are challenging & enjoyable and I am constantly coming up with new ideas and of course welcome any and all as well. Below are some of my favorites from the past year.
Clockwise from top left: Willie as Astro, Willie as Ziggy Stardust, Willie with Headdress III, Willie as Tennis Players, Willie as Gambler
You can check out all sorts of fun Willies and other works through my new website www.annegenung.com. I promise to keep it updated with work as I produce and through the blog section I will drone on about works in progress and other assorted things that I am getting into.
I moved to my tenth city and my mother's hometown of Houston, Texas almost one year ago . We have a precious little house and I have been doing my best to explore the city, museums, restaurants, and various dives. It's a beautiful city and it has so much to offer. I could not be happier and I cannot wait to get to some Astro games this Spring & Summer.

One of the greatest blessings of my new life in Houston is my employment as an Artist's Assistant with Pruitt-Littleton Decorative Artists in the Heights. Not only do I enjoy my work, but I am learning an insane amount and could not possibly adore my employers more. We laugh & laugh and get all bent out of shape about politics.
Merri & Jimmy Littleton are wildly talented and have been in Houston for ten years after leaving New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. That being said, they are well-versed in good food and great fun. I cannot say enough fantastic things about them-- I am honored to be mentored by them and I consider them my very dearest friends.
Please check out their website and you can also follow them on facebook & Instagram.

Black Sheep Ranch Willies
I'm very proud of my precious friends Casi & Donny Houseman, who have recently opened the coolest store, Black Sheep Ranch, in a converted gas station in Austin, Texas. You can find my Willies there as well as vintage furniture, signage, and all sorts of gifts. I dare you to enter and not walk out with something,
Find them on facebook.
On a sad note, Phife Dawg, of A Tribe Called Quest, passed away recently and I have been mourning the soundtrack of my early life in NYC. What a sadness, what a badass. Play it on a loop and always know the importance of a Skypager. xo
